Norwegian Pilgrimage to Bamse's Statue and Grave

46 members of the Bergen Culture Forum from Norway visited Montrose on Monday 11 August, during a week long stay in Scotland.

Their specific aim was to see the statue and the grave of the WWII heroic ship’s dog Bamse, who spent much of the war stationed at Dundee and Montrose.

The grave site has always been tended to by the townsfolk of Montrose, who never forgot the friendly giant that became well know in the town during the dark war years.
